HP OpenView Performance Core is the lightweight performance data collection and storage engine within the HP OpenView/HP Operations management suite. Developed by Hewlett-Packard, it gathers essential system and application metrics across Windows, UNIX, and Linux servers and stores them in an embedded time‑series repository (CODA). These metrics are exposed to agent policies, Smart Plug-ins, and reporting tools, enabling proactive monitoring, alerting, and capacity trending with minimal overhead.
